Bump Shoot

I was asked by a friend if I’d do a bump shoot ,though never doing one before I still agreed, anyway a portrait is a portrait and it shouldn’t take long. Finally got to their house in    some foul weather that stayed like that the whole day.Got my gear in quickly and then had a brew and chatted about the shots they wanted,to help Kay had got some poses of the internet to reproduce, which was okay by me.It all went well  used off camera speedlights on stands and mainly my 24-105 mm L lens

De Vere Mottram Hall ,Cheshire.

A weekend of golf at the lovely De Vere Mottram Hall ,set in 270 acres of prime Cheshire parkland with 14 friends me and my father, was upon us,the weather forecast could have been better anyway its always nice in Cheshire isn’t it?.We got there only to be told the golf buggies weren’t allowed due to the recent wet weather.A bit of a disaster on two fronts, one I couldnt take my camera bag with me and two ,dad needs a buggy to play golf .Well dad ended up hiring a golf trolley and decided to give it a go walking .He managed 18 holes but only just and the blasted hire trolley packed in on the back nine so i ended up shoving it for him, surely De Vere you can do better than this, put buggy paths in,its not rocket science.

I was happy to get back to the hotel  have a bath and rest before our meal, which was  superb I may add.Later a few drinks and lots of laughs were had. Sunday morning was upon us and the sad sound of heavy rain bashing on the windows welcomed us.After a hearty breakfast it was clear there wasn’t going to be any golf played ,until I found out they hadn’t shut the course? What fools are running this golf course? Well I wasn’t playing and made my farewells  to my friends and me and dad went on our way ,later finding out that they had closed the course eventually, why it took so long was beyond me.

James & Georgina’s Wedding day

The wedding of James and Georgina Dalli took place at St Lukes Church in sunny Salford, everything went well from a photographic point and every other point for that matter. Was able to take a bucket full of decent shots before and after the ceremony. Then a short drive to Mottram Hall in Cheshire for the wedding breakfast,(though I had a Cheese and onion sandwich in the bar) anyway the weather behaved for a change and the outdoor group shots got under way. Thought the bride ,groom, ushers all guests were excellent in all of the shoots, its always easier when they’re game. Here is a selection of pictures and a slideshow for you to view.

Joint Birthday Party

I was asked to do a photo job by my friend Wayne,at the Poplar Working Mens Club in Accrington last Saturday night, the low light was a challenge but the 5D mark 2 took it in its stride mated with a 24-105mm F4 lens and a 135mm F2 . Everyone seemed to be having fun and I hope this reflects in my pics.
